The bench was dealing with a public interest petition filed by Telangana Agri Gold Customers and Agents Welfare Association.

Shravan Kumar, counsel for the petitioner pointed out that the company was auctioning benami properties and the list submitted by the company for auctioning were also benami. Reacting to the submissions, the bench asked the counsel for AP to ensure that the company shall not sell out its benami properties and also list out the benami properties of board of directors of the company.

As reported earlier, a three-man committee headed by a retired judge of the High Court was constituted by the High Court to look into the matter.
