Party leader Botcha Satyanarayana says celebrations will be a State-level event; claims it is to create awareness among people
Guntur: The YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Botcha Satyanarayana said that the party will be celebrating November 26 as Constitution Approval Day. “It was the day on which Dr B R Ambedkar's draft of Indian Constitution was approved,” Botcha said.
Addressing a press conference at the party office here on Wednesday, YSRCP leader said that the celebration of the approval of the Indian Constitution will be a State-level event and party members and workers across the State will take part in the celebrations. “The day is of prime importance as the Constitution granted fundamental rights apart from laying down strong foundation for social and economic empowerment of under-privileged and minorities,” he asserted.
Botcha claimed that celebrations will create awareness among people about constitutional rights. Commenting on daylight murder of Chittoor Mayor and her husband, the YSRCP leader chided the government and said that it reflected the sorry state of law and order. “If the government cannot guarantee the safety of its own leaders, what about the common man,” he questioned.
He along with Ambati Rambabu, who was at the meet, condemned the arrests of their party leaders Kodali Nani and Perni Nani.
