Andhra Pradesh is still reeling with floods as heavy rains continued to lash across the state. Several places were left inundated in Tirumala due to the continuous rainfall. Irrigation officials of Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD) opened the gates of Kumara Dhara, Papavinasanam, Pasupu Dhara, Gogarbam and Aakasaganga dams as they were overflowing.

Near Tippavarapupadu of Gudur mandal in Nellore district, four people got caught in flood waters on Monday while locals managed to save a man who caught on to a tree, remaining three were washed away in the floods. Due to the incessant rains, various streams are being filled with flash floods in Nellore.

Met officials stated that AP is likely to receive more rains in Visakhapatnam in the next 48 hours and heavy downpour is expected in Nellore, Prakasham, Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts.
