Amalapuram: The Konaseema Rail Project Sadhana Samiti has launched a four-day padayatra in the eight mandals of Konaseena area.
The padayatra from Amalapuram to Sakhinetipalli commenced on Saturday. The programme is being taken up to create awareness among people and to mobilise support for the rail project pending since the last one-and-a-half decades.
Apart from the Samiti leaders, V S Diwakar, B Rammohan Rao, K Sattibabu and representatives of BJP and other parties participated.
