Atmakur (Kurnool): Over 5,000 Muslims took out a huge rally for over three hours under the auspices of the Ulema Committee here on Tuesday resenting Hindu Maha Sabha leader and MP Kamlesh Tiwari’s comments against Prophet Mohammad.

After paralysing traffic on KG Road and raising slogans, they demanded Tiwari’s arrest and apology. The speakers hit out against those who seek to belittle Islam and the Prophet.

They described MP’s remarks as ‘unpardonable’ and wanted the Home Ministry to hang him. Later the committee leaders submitted a memorandum to Tahsildar Rajasekhar Babu.
