Koilkuntla (Kurnool): The Arya Vysya Association performed ‘Ksheerabhishekam’ to the statue of Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu here on Tuesday to mark his 63rd death anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, the association president Pendekanti Subramanyam said that Amarajeevi had sacrificed his life for formation of a separate State for Telugu speaking people.
It was unfortunate that the State government failed to organise the birth and death anniversaries of Potti Sreeramulu in a befitting manner, he said.
