Engineering student attempts suicide

A girl student of an engineering college has attempted suicide by jumping from the college building at Kavali on Wednesday. According to police, Veluru Haripriya of Kammavaripalem in Duttalur mandal is studying first year engineering course at RSR Engineering College in Kadanuthala in Kavali mandal.

An invigilator has caught Haripriya red-handed while she was copying in an exam at Viswodaya Institute of Technology and Science at Janathapet. She was warned by invigilator that a case would be registered against her for malpractice. Suddenly, the girl jumped from the third floor in order to commit suicide. College staff immediately shifted her to a hospital and informed police. Haripriya’s right thigh bone broken in the incident and her health condition stated to be stable. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
