`9.5 cr for co-op societies

The District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) will provide Rs 9.5 crore to the 95 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) in Kurnool to enable them to lend more to small and marginal farmers in Rabi season. Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, DCCB Deputy General Manager B Sunil Kumar said Rs 10 lakh would be provided to each cooperative society.

Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, DCCB Deputy General Manager B Sunil Kumar said Rs 10 lakh would be provided to each cooperative society.
The DGM admitted the fact that the prevailing drought conditions in the district hit the loan recovery of the bank. The DCCB would lay more emphasis on loan recovery to achieve the Rs 4 crore target, he said. Earlier, he inspected the DCCB branch in the village.
