Three youths killed as truck rams into lorry

According to police, Bolligarla Naresh (19), Sinam Prudhviraj (18) boarded a tata Ace mini truck of Pilli Ramesh Babu (24) carrying a seed-drill machine at Huzurnagar in Nalgonda District to go to Tanuku Wednesday evening. Ramesh Babu’s friend Shekh Anwar also boarded the vehicle.

When the vehicle reached Bhimadole in West Godavari district, driver Ramesh Babu handed over the steering to his friend Anwar and fell asleep in the cabin.

Anwar lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a parked lorry at around 2.30 am on Thursday. While Naresh, Pridhviraj, Ramesh Babu died on the spot, Anwar escaped with severe injuries.

Police said Naresh of Sattiwada village in Undrajavaram went to Huzur Nagar with the seed-drill machine to work in agriculture fields and was returning to Tanuku. Sinam Pridhviraj, Ramesh Babu and Sheikh Anwar belong to Huzur Nagar of Nalgonda district.

On receiving information about the accident, Ganapavaram Circle Inspector N Durga Prasad reached the spot along with Chebrole Sub Inspector A Pydi Babu and personnel. After hectic efforts, they removed the bodies out of the mangled mini truck.

The injured Anwar was shifted to Tadepalligudem Government Hospital. The bodies were also sent to Tadepalligudem for postmortem.
