PM Fasal Bima Yojana will help farmers: BJP
BJP State general secretary J Syamkishore said that Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana was aimed at safeguarding the interests of farmers who suffered crop loss. Speaking to press persons, he said that the Union Cabinet had already decided to implement Fasal bhima yojana the scheme for the benefit farmers who had lost crops during natural calamities.
Vijayawada: BJP State general secretary J Syamkishore said that Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana was aimed at safeguarding the interests of farmers who suffered crop loss. Speaking to press persons, he said that the Union Cabinet had already decided to implement Fasal bhima yojana the scheme for the benefit farmers who had lost crops during natural calamities.
The BJP leader said that the crop insurance scheme would be applicable to all the farmers, and the government would pay 25 per cent of the compensation initially and the remaining amount within 90 days of crop loss.
Of the total 17,600 crore annual premium, he said the Centre would bear Rs 9,000 crore and the balance premium would be paid by State governments. A single insurance company would pay the compensation in each state, he added.
Earlier, the BJP leaders celebrated Sankranti festival at state BJP office here on Thursday. Former MLA Vellampalli Srinivas participated in Bhogi mantalu programme.
