Rampachodavaram (East Godavari): Medicines would be supplied for less than MRP rates in Girijana Sanjeevini generic medical shops through Girijan Cooperation Corporation, Project Officer, ITDA, Rampachodavaram, KVN Chakradhar Babu said here on Saturday. He inaugurated Girijana Sanjeevini generic medical shop in Rampachodavaram.
Speaking on the occasion, Chakradhar Babu said that the ITDA was setting up generic shops as the tribals were unable to purchase medicines at private medical shops at higher prices. Medicines would be sold on showing doctor’s prescription. Besides the mandal headquarter of Rampachodavaram, he said that generic shops would be set up in other areas of the agency area.
He further said that herbal medicines would be also available in generic shops. He called upon the tribals to make use of this opportunity. He directed the concerned officials to place the price list in shops. Steps would be taken to keep open the shop round-the-clock. He maintained that all kinds of medicines, which are available in medical shops in plain areas would be kept available in Sanjeevini generic medical shops.
