YSRCP MP arrested for assaulting AI official
Rajampet YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy on Saturday was arrested by Chittoor district police for assaulting an Airport official at Renigunta airport in November last year.
Rajampet YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy on Saturday was arrested by Chittoor district police for assaulting an Airport official at Renigunta airport in November last year. The MP along with another accused Madhu Sudhan Reddy were produced before the Magistrate and have been sent to Kalahasthi police station for 14 days remand.
According to the ongoing reports, they will be sent to Nellore sub-jail. On November 26, 2015, the Rajampet MP had allegedly slapped Air India employee Rajasekhar following which a criminal case was filed against the former. Police have arrested 16 people out of other 19 accused so far involved in the incident. A case was registered against all the accused under sections 448 (house-trespass), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC.
