Kakinada: A two-day installation programme of Petro Tech Student Chapter by Department of Petroleum and Petro Chemical Engineering is being conducted on JNTU-K premises.

Inaugurating the programme on Saturday, Jatinder Peters, Secretary, Petro Tech Society, New Delhi urged the students to upgrade their skills thoroughly and enhance the upcoming technologies in the field of Petroleum Engineering.

She also said that Petro Tech Student Chapter was playing a vital role in conducting seminars, workshops and conferences across the globe so that the knowledge gap between academia and industry would be bridged to maximum extent.

She asked the students to trigger their research activities by actively involving in the student chapter associations.

The Petro Tech Society secretary also stressed on the women empowerment and active participation in these activities to grab the global opportunities in the field of Petroleum Engineering. She urged the students to be curious, innovative and creative so that success will be at their doorsteps.

In-charge VC and Rector Dr B Prabhakara Rao, Dr GVR Prasada Raju, Registrar and Dr V Ramachandra Raju, Principal, University College of Engineering acted as patrons.

Prof KV Rao and PVN Rao, programme directors, Petroleum Courses acted as faculty advisors. Prof L.Vinod Babu, head, Dept of PE&PCE acted as president of the programme and welcomed the gathering.
