Tirupati: The 10th Tirupati Book Festival (TBF) will be organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) Tirupati Kendra here for nine days, beginning from January 30. Cultural and entertainment programmes depicting the Indian culture and heritage will be held every day, as part of book exhibition, from 1 pm to 9 pm at SV High School playground here, according to BVB Tirupati Kendra Director

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Raju said the BVB has been organising the annual book festival in Tirupati since 2006. The festival is mainly aimed to promote book reading habit among the youth, which is declining he said, adding that competitions on various socially relevant themes and book reading will also be organised during the nine-day fete. This year, publishers and book sellers from all over AP and rest of India will sell their books through 86 stalls, he said.
