Burglars decamp with Rs 15 lakh cash and 75 sovereigns of gold
Tadepalligudem: Unidentified persons burgled a house of a real estate businessman at Tallamudnurupadu in Tadepalligudem and decamped with Rs 15 lakh cash and 75 sovereigns of gold ornaments in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to police, the burglars entered the house of Velagala Pattabhi Ramireddy, a real estate businessman when he and his wife were sound asleep in the early hours of Tuesday. They broke open the windows and entered the house.
The burglars also opened the almirah and took Rs 15 lakh cash and 75 sovereigns of gold ornaments and fled the spot. The house owner Pattabhiramireddy in the morning realised that someone had entered the house. When he checked his house, he found the cash and gold were missing. He complained the matter to Tadepaligudem police.
In-charge Circle Inspector G Madhubabu reached the house with clues team and dog squad. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
