AP Govt to spread awareness about Zika virus
With the Zika virus scare spreading around, the Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to set up help desks at the sea ports and airports. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Friday held a video conference with health officials where he directed them to spread awareness on the virus among the people in the state.

The minister said that the people returning from the countries of Latin America and others where Zika virus has hit should be taken care of. He instructed the officials to conduct blood tests on pregnant women who are showing symptoms of the virus, free of cost in all district and area hospitals. Kamineni Srinivas also has directed for the initiation of the sanitation measures that will be taken up in coordination with Municipal Administration and local bodies.
