Dalits responding to Chandrababu's comments alleged that it attracted sections of the SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act and filed a complaint against the Chief Minister at the Tangutur police station of Prakasam district. Reacting to the comments, AP Congress chief N Raghuveera Reddy said that the comments were atrocious and added that he wanted to be born an SC in his next life.
