Craft mela inaugurated
TDP district health wing president R Sudharani on Wednesday inaugurated the craft mela, an exhibition-cum-sale of handloom products and handicrafts, oganised by Jeevan Jyothi Rural Development Society (JJRDS) at Indira Maidanam here for the benefit of traditional artisans and weavers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudharani lauded JJRDS for setting up the exhibition-cum-sale to help the artisans and weavers to market their products. She stressed on promoting handlooms and traditional handicrafts to ensure the preservation of our rich heritage and culture. JJRDS Secretary Athin Kumar Jaiswal said as many as 75 stalls were set up in the craft mela.
He said mela will remain open every day from 9 am to 9 pm. A wide range of handloom products and handicrafts from various districts in the state and also from other states find place in the mela, he said.
