Nellore: Mayor Abdul Aziz met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday at his camp office, along with Minority Welfare Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy and MLC Sharif.
He made an appeal to the Chief Minister to remove cases against Muslim youth, who attacked the Superintendent of Police in Nellore on January 30 night over some difference of opinion. He also met the Additional DGP RP Thakur and explained that the incident was unfortunate and asked him to withdraw the cases against youngsters.
Responding to the request of the Mayor Aziz, the senior police official reportedly said he would talk to the government and take appropriate decision. Local TDP leaders have accompanied the Mayor.
