Bullock competitions at Brahmotsavams

A State level heavy stone slab pulling competition for bullocks was organised at Thondapadu village in the mandal on Thursday as part of Bolikonda Ranganatha Swamy temple Brahmotsavams. Guntakal MLA R Jithendra Goud who participated in the celebrations as a chief guest, inaugurated the stone slab pulling competition.
Anantapur: A State level heavy stone slab pulling competition for bullocks was organised at Thondapadu village in the mandal on Thursday as part of Bolikonda Ranganatha Swamy temple Brahmotsavams. Guntakal MLA R Jithendra Goud who participated in the celebrations as a chief guest, inaugurated the stone slab pulling competition.
The temple committee members said the competition for bullocks would be held in milk teeth, sub-junior, junior and senior categories. Cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 65,000, Rs 70,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh would be awarded to the winning bullocks of the four categories respectively, they said.
