Free sand supply commences in East Godavari

Kakinada: Free supply of sand for government and public sector usage started in East Godavari district in 15 reaches on Tuesday and few more would be started soon, said District Collector H Arun Kumar.
He reviewed the implementation of the new sand policy at Collectorate along with revenue and police officials and said that out of 20 reaches in East Godavari district, 15 reaches were given environmental clearance.
In addition to that, the Irrigation Department was also asked to identify the new reaches for supplying sand.
