New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is here on a few hours halt en route UK, met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to reiterate his demand for great allocation of funds for all-round development of the State.

The Chief Minister reminded the Union Ministers that he had sought grants to bridge the resource gap (due to revenue deficit) alongside special assistance to Rayalaseema and north coastal districts and for Amaravati development and incentives for industrial development

Naidu will leave for London during wee hours of Friday. During his four-day visit he will attend the International Investors conference. In separate memoranda given to the Home Minister and the Finance Minister, the Chief Minister sought special packages and funds on the lines of Bundelkhand, Bolangir, Kalahandi and Gorakhpur to develop the backward districts in the north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema region.

Arguing that a greater budgetary support should have been given to the State by the Centre, he said the gap could be filled up by allocation of additional funds in every sector. The State had an ambition plan to become a key player in increasing the GDP of the country and the whole country would benefit by Andhra Pradesh’s development, he said.

Recalling his earlier visits, he reminded them that he had sought grants to bridge the resource gap (due to revenue deficit) alongside special assistance to Rayalaseema and north coastal districts and for Amaravati development and incentives for industrial development. Naidu also detailed that the blue economy sought to be developed by him alongside the coastline also needed not just funds for infrastructure but also more investment in every coastal district in one form or the other.
