He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen travelling more in foreign countries and asserted that such travel would strengthen India’s relations with other countries. He welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan to greet Nawaz Sharif, but took strong exception to Pakistan sending its team to India to probe into terrorist attack on Pathankot airbase.

He wondered why India allowed Pakistan to send its team to probe into the issue. Stating that India had faced several terrorist attacks in the past, he pointed out that India had never sent a team to Pakistan to probe into the terrorist links. He wondered why Pakistan was investigating in India when the terrorists live in their country.

Referring to the demand to raise “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogan, he said patriotism was different and it cannot be measured on verbal expressions. He felt that there was no need for anyone to make verbal expressions of patriotism and nationalism. The former Minister said that the DPS World School at Amaravati would start its academic year from June initially with primary classes and later would upgrade itself till XII standard.

He said that the school would also provide personality development programmes for students with the involvement of Mohammad Azharuddin in cricket, Koneru Humpy in chess, Gazal Srinivas and actress Jayaprada in fine arts. DPS Foundation representative Louise Khurshid, DPS World School representatives Valluri Kumar and others were present.
