Vijayawada: With a motive to educate girl child to attain ‘Illiteracy Elimination’, the Innerwheel Club has come out with a programme titled ‘Asha Kiran’ with a tagline of ‘Take a girl back to the School’. As a part of the initiative, the regional club, Vijayawada Midtown is going to organise a fun and engaging activity for youngsters to be part of the event, that helps the unprivileged girl children acquire education.

A Treasure hunt programme is being organised by the club here on April 11 where, the candidates who register to participate will be asked to solve clues for hidden treasure besides being offered spot gifts for activities. Games like Housie, lucky dip are also a part of the entire programme, where contestants will be given away spot gifts.

One of the organisers, G Malleswari speaking to ‘The Hans India’ said, “We give the contestants clues to solve the puzzle of hidden treasure. The boys and girls should participate separately on bikes and can bring along a partner. Winner of the bumper prize ‘Hero Duet’ will be the one who cracks highest number of clues while the first and second prize winners will be given away valuable prizes.

Lunch for the contestants will be provided at the venue.” “This programme is an initiative to engage youngsters in the cause. We hope to sensitise them of the plight of girl children who are deprived of education. The committee of the club will sponsor the education of girl child who is financially weak or is single parented,” added Malleswari.

One should reserve tickets with the members of the club by paying a sum of Rs 300, which will be utilised towards the cause.
