Greenery for skating rink
Vice-Chairman of VUDA T Baburao Naidu sanctioned Rs 7 lakh for immediate development of greenery around the NTR International Skating Rink at VUDA Park. Inspecting the rink while jogging on Tuesday morning, the Vice- Chairman spontaneously sanctioned the amount and directed the officials to take up the works without any delay and complete as early as possible.
Visakhapatnam: Vice-Chairman of VUDA T Baburao Naidu sanctioned Rs 7 lakh for immediate development of greenery around the NTR International Skating Rink at VUDA Park. Inspecting the rink while jogging on Tuesday morning, the Vice- Chairman spontaneously sanctioned the amount and directed the officials to take up the works without any delay and complete as early as possible.
Since the rink is being used by a large number of enthusiastic children as well as youth for training in skating, the Vice- Chairman was determined in beautifying the rink. He called the divisional forest officer of VUDA B Raja Rao, superintendent engineer M Appanna and other officials to the rink and issued instructions to take up the greenery, lighting and other improvement works immediately.
The officials were also directed to provide an e-Toilet for the use of trainers and a road-circuit on seaside of the rink along with the greenery improvement. GVMC Commissioner Praveen Kumar and MLA PGVR Naidu (Ganababu), who were present at the rink, also gave suggestions on improving facilities at the skating rink.
Skating Association representative Prasanna Kumar, VUDA executive engineer G Kalpana, horticulture officers GV Lakshmi, Simhadri and others were present.
