Regional Fire Officer S V Chowdary has called upon the staff of the Disaster Response and Fire Services to create awareness among the people on fire safety measures to be taken to prevent fire accidents. ​Rampachodavaram: Rich tributes were paid to the Architect of the Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar here on Thursday. Along with the officials of various departments, ITDA Rampachodavaram Project Officer KVN Chakradhar Babu took out a rally marking 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Ambedkar.

MLC T Ratna Bai, Sub-Collector Ravi Pattan Setty and former MLAs Seethamsetty Venkateswara Rao and Chinnam Babu Ramesh took part in the celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, Ratna Bai said that SC, ST and BCs were enjoying the fruits of the Constitution and called upon these sections to march forward to get political power.

Chakradhar Babu observed that Ambedkar was leader not only for SC/STs, but also for all the sections of society. He mentioned that all the steps were being taken to make sure that fruits of the government reach all sections of the people in coming three years. Under NTR Housing Scheme, he said, 1,250 houses for Rampachodavaram ITDA and 1,250 houses for Chinturu ITDA have been sanctioned.

He put the onus on teachers to provide better education for Tribals and added that there were plans to transform every school as residential school. Dalit Seva Sangh president Geddam Sriramulu, Made Ramachandra Rao, Dandangi Simhachalam and advocate Ramana organised the programme.

Meanwhile, Rampachodavaram MLA Vantala Rajeswari inaugurated NTR Housing Scheme in Bandapalli village of Rampachodavaram mandal marking 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Ambedkar. She stressed the need for food security and housing for everyone in the agency area. She informed that 178 houses have been sanctioned for Rampachodavaram and stressed the need for houses for tribals in coming days.
