Youth drowns in canal

A youth accidentally drowned in Tungabhadra project low level canal here on Thursday. According to information, Eeranna Goud (30) of H Kairavadi village in Gonegandla mandal came to Yemmiganur to distribute the wedding cards of his nephew.
Yemmiganur (Kurnool): A youth accidentally drowned in Tungabhadra project low level canal here on Thursday. According to information, Eeranna Goud (30) of H Kairavadi village in Gonegandla mandal came to Yemmiganur to distribute the wedding cards of his nephew.
He went to the Tungabhadra canal for a swim along with his relatives. While swimming, he was washed away by a strong water current. On hearing the news, police rushed to the spot and started a search operation. The body of the drowning victim is yet to be found.
