Naidu exhorts party cadre to take part in service activities
Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked the rank and file of the party to compete with the NGOs in serving the people. Speaking to them in a tele-conference, Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP was formed by Dr N T Rama Rao to serve people.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked the rank and file of the party to compete with the NGOs in serving the people. Speaking to them in a tele-conference, Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP was formed by Dr N T Rama Rao to serve people.
He wanted the party leaders and cadre to extend services competing with the voluntary organisations across the State. Stating that the NGOs work only in a limited area, he felt that the TDP could reach to the entire State through its services.
He asked the party cadre to open water and buttermilk kiosks during the summer and also distribute ORS packets to prevent sunstroke during the summer. He said that people would accept the parties if they extend services to them.
He said that the people of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh have been voting for the ruling party only because of the services that the ruling parties extended to the people in those States.
Chandrababu Naidu also asked the party leaders to participate in the government works like formation of farm ponds, construction of check dams and other water harvesting sources. He recalled how the TDP had served the people while in Opposition, particularly during Uttarakhand floods, Australia and Gulf victims.
He said that the TDP could organise rescue operations for the victims in all these incidents and was ahead of NGOs in serving the people. He wanted the party leaders and cadre to draw inspiration from such service activities and take lead.
