Vijayawada: BC Janasabha State president Dr G Gangadhar here on Monday lashed out at the TDP government for taking a decision not to implement the rule of reservations in recruitment of staff in the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
Speaking to media persons, Dr Gangadhar said the decision was undemocratic and against the spirit of the Indian constitution. He said the State government’s decision was nothing but cheating the weaker sections, backward classes, Dalits and minorities. He alleged that the big corporates and elite people close to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be benefited with the government decision.
Gangadhar demanded that the government release white paper on the recruitment taken place in the CRDA in TDP rule and implement rule of reservations in the CRDA recruitment.
He recalled that the Chief Minister had recently garlanded the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar and announced that the TDP was committed to the development of SCs and STs in the State and taking the decisions which are detrimental to the interests of SC/ST population in the State.
He ridiculed that CRDA means Corporate Regional Development Authority. He has warned that he would challenge the decision of the government in the High Court. He recalled the department of municipal administration and urban development had passed GO 81, 82 and 83 asking the government for the implementation of rule of reservations in the recruitment of CRDA posts as per the Andhra Pradesh sub-ordinate rules of 1996 but the State government is turning a blind eye to these orders.
