Vijayawada: Melam Bhagya Rao, national general secretary of Dalit Bahujan Front, has received Dr Ambedkar Fellowship National Award in the ‘National Dalit Human Rights Campaign and Monitoring’ category at a programme held in New Delhi recently.
Bhagya Rao is the 11th person to be selected for the award and the first one from AP for the award. He received the award from Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapthi Raju and special representative of the Andhra Pradesh Government Kambampati Ramamohana Rao.
