According to sources, the students have been demanding better amenities in the hostel for the last few days, but their repeated pleas fell on deaf ears.
On Tuesday, following the protest, the college authorities said they would act on the demand for better facilities. However, the students said they wanted the assurance in writing. Sarpavaram SI Muralikrishna Reddy visited the campus and pacified the agitating students.
