The district TDP leaders and workers paid floral tributes to D K Audikesavulu Naidu, former MP and former TTD Trust Board chairman, on his third death anniversary here on Sunday.  Recalling the services rendered by D K Audikesavulu Naidu,  Chittoor Mayor  Subramanyam said that he was influenced by the great leader for his outstanding contribution for the development of the district.

Chittoor: The district TDP leaders and workers paid floral tributes to D K Audikesavulu Naidu, former MP and former TTD Trust Board chairman, on his third death anniversary here on Sunday. Recalling the services rendered by D K Audikesavulu Naidu, Chittoor Mayor Subramanyam said that he was influenced by the great leader for his outstanding contribution for the development of the district.

In order to facilitate drinking water to many villages in Chittoor, Palamaner, Madanapalli and other parts in the district, Adikesavulu had constructed many water schemes through Srinivas Trust. He was responsible for developing a comprehensive drinking water scheme in Chittoor town particularly with a view to divert Telugu Ganga water through Kandaleru Reservoir.

D K Audikesavulu Naidu, was instrumental in establishing educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, he lauded. He recalled that Audikesavulu as the TTD Trust Board Chairman had introduced reforms to strengthen the TTD institutions. He assured that the Chittoor Municipal Corporation has committed to fulfil the aspirations of D K Audikesavulu Naidu, in facilitating drinking water to Chittoor town in an effective manner besides beautifying the town as a model one.

He expressed happiness that D K Satya Prabha, MLA and wife of Audikesavulu, is fulfilling the aspirations of her husband in developing Chittoor town. The TDP leaders distributed free meals on the occasion in which senior leaders Dorababu, Rajeswari, Nani, Badari, Shanmugam and others were present.

Later, the leaders paid rich tributes to Audikesavulu recalling his great service to the district and his community by performing milk abhisekham to his statue at Muthukur cross roads. Surprisingly, Chittoor MLA D K Satya Prabha, wife of Audikesavulu, and her son Srinivas did not take part in the death anniversary programme.
