Amaravati: Advisor on tourism to the State government Galla Amareswar informed that the Central government sanctioned Rs 75 crore for the development of Amareswara Swamy temple and surrounding areas.

Addressing a meeting held in Guntur on Thursday, he explained steps to be taken to develop the temple through a power-point presentation.

“There is need to develop the temple in the backdrop of upcoming Krishna Pushkaralu,” he said and called for quick expedition of works for the convenience of pilgrims, as heavy rush is expected.

Amareswar said that the works needs to be completed by July and instructed the officials to find a solution to traffic problems.

He stressed on coordination among various government departments to complete the works within the stipulated time and added that they would meet again on May 5 and review the progress of the works.

District Collector Kantilal Dande also instructed the officials to complete the works within the stipulated time.
