Kapu Corporation chief to receive Savitri National Award-2016
Mahanati Savithri Sahitya Samskruthika Kalapeetham has selected Kapu Corporation Chairman Chalamalasetti Ramanjneya for the ‘Savitri National Award-2016’. A brochure regarding the event was released by Kalapeetham organising committee president G Swarupa Devi here on Thursday.
Vijayawada: Mahanati Savithri Sahitya Samskruthika Kalapeetham has selected Kapu Corporation Chairman Chalamalasetti Ramanjneya for the ‘Savitri National Award-2016’. A brochure regarding the event was released by Kalapeetham organising committee president G Swarupa Devi here on Thursday.
Talking to the newsmen, Swarupa Devi said that every year Kalapeetham had been conferring the award to eminent personalities in society in memory of late veteran actress Savitiri. The award distribution ceremony would be held at Film Chamber Hall in Gandhi Nagar here on May 4.
Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy and Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa will be the chief guests for the event, she said. Kalapeetham founder president Paruchuri Vijayalakshmi and honorary president Prabhala Srinivas were also present at the news conference.
