Tirupati: APSPDCL will construct 3,000 rain harvesting pits in its office premises to improve ground water level, according to APSPDCL
Chairman and Managing Director HY Dora. Speaking after inaugurating the construction of rain harvesting pits in SPDCL corporate office
premises here on Wednesday, Dora said that the digging of the pits will be taken up through Sramadhanam by employees while sanction
was accorded for procuring other materials required for the rain harvest pit from SPDCL funds aimed to improve groundwater level.

Necessary instructions were issued to the authorities in the 8 districts under SPDCL limits including Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa, Anantapur,
Kurnool, Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna to take up the construction of rain harvesting pits in the office premises including sub-station,
ERO office, divisional and sub-divisional offices. SPDCL Directors Pulla Reddy, Syed Bilal, Chief General Manager D Yesunadh and others
were present.
