Tirupati: The dip in the day temperatures following drizzles in and around the city brought the much needed relief to the denizens of the pilgrim city from the scorching heat they have been experiencing for the last two weeks.

The district including the pilgrim city reeled under severe heat wave with the mercury level hovering between 43 and 45 degree Celsius, tormenting the people here since third week of April. The searing heat hit normal life with the people forced to remain indoors during the afternoons fearing the scorching sun.
