Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Officers Association (APVROA) has resolved to stage a dharna in Yadamari on May 16
demanding action on those involved in the attack on VRO Dayasagar.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, APVROA district general secretary Ramachandra said that Dayasagar working as Yadamari VRO
was attacked by a group of TDP supporters led by one Krishnamurthy for not submitting a favourable report to tahsildar.

Krishnamurthy, who is working as a software engineer in Bengaluru, applied for issuance of certificate to vouch him as an unemployed
and also landless poor to get teacher post on compassionate grounds after the demise of his father, who was working as a government
school teacher, he said.

However, VRO Dayasagar after an enquiry submitted the report stating that Krishnamurthy is working as a software engineer and is
having 1.70 acres of land, which angered Krishnamurthy, who came to MRO office, and attacked Dayasagar on May 13, he alleged.

Yadmari station house officer also bowing to the TDP leaders pressure registered a case only after APVROA intervention, but under
sections 186, 506 instead of 32 B (attack on a government employee while on duty), he alleged and demanded the station house officer
to alter the sections.

Ramachandra said that the attacks on VRO by ruling party leaders has increased after TDP came to power, which was evident with seven
attacks on VROs, and added that the association will also meet the Collector and SP on the issue on Monday. He also warned that the
association would intensify the stir if all those involved in the attack on Dayasagar were not arrested immediately.
