28 red sanders logs seized; 2 held

The two smugglers were identified as Subramanayam and Kumar from Javadumalai area in Tamil Nadu. According to sources, the combing party of RSASTF and Forest department led by RSI Bhaskar intercepted the Tamil Nadu-based smugglers carrying red sanders logs from the forest, forcing them to flee leaving behind the logs.
Tirupati: In a major haul, the RSASTF on Friday seized 28 red sanders logs during a massive combing operation in Bakarapeta forest area and nabbed two smugglers while the other two managed to escape.
The two smugglers were identified as Subramanayam and Kumar from Javadumalai area in Tamil Nadu.
According to sources, the combing party of RSASTF and Forest department led by RSI Bhaskar intercepted the Tamil Nadu-based smugglers carrying red sanders logs from the forest, forcing them to flee leaving behind the logs.

RSASTF DIG M Kantha Rao inspected the forest where the red sanders logs were recovered and patted the personnel for the huge haul of logs.
