Build confidence in people on government hospitals

Vizianagaram: Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas has appealed to the health staff to build confidence in public among health services offered in government hospitals and dispensaries.

He inaugurated a new building here and interacted with media on Sunday.

We have established 10 more maternity hospitals all over the State to provide more health services to public. We are providing more services on par with private and corporate hospitals in the State.

We are supervising the health status of pregnant women with the help of tabs. Our State is recognised by the Union government for minimising infant and maternal deaths.

We have reduced those deaths from 110 to 88 per every thousand deliveries. We have appointed 1,400 doctors in various hospitals in the past two years and we will appoint 500 more doctors apart from 200 super specialists soon. The Government will provide new vehicles for 108 services, where the vehicles become older and facing trouble in moving on roads he said.

Later, Kamineni visited prominent poet Gurajada’s home and viewed the articles like chair, books and spectacles used by him. He said that the government would protect the literary wealth for the future generations. Collector M M Nayak, MLA M Geetha and others
