Nellore: TDP Leader and former legislator Anam Vivekananda Reddy criticised YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for using Kapu quota issue for his own interests, though the government has been protecting interests of the community.

He was interacting with the media here on Friday and said Mudragada has turned out to be a tool in the hands of Jagan who would discard Kapu leader after making political gains.

He said Jaganmohan Reddy has been highlighting Kapus as anti-social elements though the State government formed a corporation and provided funds for their development.

But, the former legislator said Mudragada was being made unpopular by Jagan and appealed to Kapus in the State to realise the hidden agenda of YSRCP which is trying to drive a wedge between Kapus and the government.
Anam said YSR Congress cadre are in confused over their future after Jagan was jailed and hence huge number of legislators are shifting their loyalties.

In a separate meeting, TDP Politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said some Kapu leaders were trying to disturb law and order in the State by creating differences between government and community.
As soon as Mudragada accepted to take fluids, Congress and YSR Congress leaders were united and started planning further destructive action, he alleged.

He said Dasari Narayana Rao, Chiranjeevi, Pallamraju, Ambati Rambabu, Botcha Satyanarayana and C Ramachandraiah teamed up for such activity in the guise of welfare of Kapus. He questioned, why they had not thought about Kapu welfare and reservations when they were holding posts of Union Ministers.

Now, even though they are in Congress and YSRC they are showing love and affection for Kapus, purely for political gains and appealed to Kapu members to support the newly-formed corporation.
