Eluru: Burglars gained entry into a house and decamped with 22 sovereigns of gold ornaments and cash in Vasavari Street in Eluru in the small hours of Saturday. According to police, the thieves entered into the house of Bandaru Venkata Ranga Rao in RR Peta when all the family members were in sound sleep. The thieves found the shelf lock opened.

They walked away with gold ornaments and Rs 90,000 in cash. The house owner came to know about the theft in the morning. He complained to Two-town police. The Clues team went to the house and collected the finger prints. Circle Inspector U Bangarraju and Sub-Inspector Durga Rao inspected the crime scene and are investigating the case.
