He participated in the State government’s Iftar party held in Sannidhi Kalyana Mandapam in Guntur city on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government was committed for the welfare of Muslims and was trying to improve their standard of living. He added that it would impart training to Muslims students to get jobs. 

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the State government had allocated Rs 710 crore in the State annual budget to take up the welfare schemes for Muslims, and to give tofa to 11 lakh Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan.

He participated in the State government’s Iftar party held in Sannidhi Kalyana Mandapam in Guntur city on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government was committed for the welfare of Muslims and was trying to improve their standard of living. He added that it would impart training to Muslims students to get jobs.

He assured the community that steps would be taken to send Muslim youth to foreign countries for higher education. He reminded that the government was extending a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 for the marriage of poor Muslim women. He recalled that the government was sanctioning post metric scholarship to the children, belonging to poor families.

He said that Muslims were socially and economically backward, and assured that the government would implement welfare schemes for their economic development.

He said that the government had taken step to protect Wakf Board properties. He further said that the government would take steps to renovate mosques in Kadapa, Nellore and Guntur.

He said that the government will construct Haj houses in Vijayawada and Kadapa. He pointed out that the government was giving importance to Urdu. He said that the government would encourage Urdu and set up an Urdu university soon. He said that he had hiked remuneration given to Imams.

He said that he was very happy to participate in Iftar party in Guntur city and added that after division of State we are celebrating Ramzan in our State.

Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Deputy Chief Minister N China Rajappa, Ministers Ravela Kishore Babu, Prathipati Pulla Rao, MP Galla Jayadev, MLAs Kommapati Sreedhar, Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Mustafa, G V Anjaneyulu, D.Narendra Kumar, Sravan Kumar, Jaleel Khan, Woman Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari, were among those participated in Iftar party.
