Vijayawada:Internet Crime Threat Assessment report in 2015-16 indicated that cyber crime is becoming increasingly aggressive and confrontational. Until and unless there is a collective effort from the concerned departments, we cannot tackle the increasing threat of crime,” opined the experts at the nation-wide southern region workshop on ‘Handling Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) based Cyber Crimes’.

There is a need for strong system that utilises the technological brilliance with which anything is possible. Not just the person or any individual but there are high chances that government departments fall prey to them, he opined.

Former Director General of Bureau of Police Research and Development N S Wasan, Counsel for International Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission for USA, Betsy Broder, Founder of Truth Labs P C Kaza, Police Commissioner D Gautam Sawang and others spoke on the topic during the single day session.
