Kadapa: Former Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said that the general elections in 2009 and 2014 exhibited the greatness of Indian democracy to the world. He received honorary doctorate from Yogi Vemana University here on Wednesday. As a chief guest of the second convocation, he shared some of his experiences with the students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Bethanabhatla Syamsundar said that the University had received NAAC B grade in 2016 and got place in top 100 ranks announced by the Ministry of the Human Resources Development. As many as 45 gold medals and 31 PhD degrees were presented in the convocation.
