75 arrested for Palmanpet violence

Payakaraopet (Visakhapatnam): The total number of arrests has been increased to 75 with the arrest of 17 persons here on Friday in connection with the violence in Palmanpet village in Visakhapatnam district.

It may be noted here that the villagers of neighbouring hamlets suddenly rounded up Palmanpet village recently and roughed up all villagers, including women besides damaging the household property and motor bikes following previous enmity. However, the police brought the situation under control by deploying pickets and keeping a vigil on strangers entering Palmanpet
village.
