Vijayawada: Amaravati Development Committee Chairman Jasti Veernajaneyulu has urged Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to give instructions to speed up Pushkaram works in Amaravati town. In a letter to Chief Minister, he alleged the officials did not take sufficient steps to complete the Pushkaram works in time.

Even in Amareswara Temple, no works have been taken up till now. The Dhyana Buddha idol and the walls of temple have not been painted yet. No toilets are being constructed at Amaravati bus stand,” he said.

There was need of 50 toilets at the main ghat of Dhyana Buddha idol, which is the major visiting place for devotees, he said. Minimum infrastructure required for devotees in Amaravati town had not provided and the officers did not heed on development works here, he said. He requested the Chief Minister to visit the historical place and inspect the progress of works there.
