Nellore: Of late, senior TDP leaders of Nellore are also expressing their dissatisfaction over what appears to be “sudden” decisions of the Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana. Party leaders of Nellore constituency, who met here on Sunday, announced that they would approach the Chief Minister as the Minister was not even informing senior party leaders about the important decision pertaining to both rural and urban constituencies.

It may be recalled that there has been animosity between the City Mayor and the Minister. Currently, party senior leaders and former Minister Adala Prabhakar Reddy are directly criticising the Minister for his alleged unanimous decisions bothering the party cadres and leaders alike. He said at meeting, while considering a development activity or any other important decision that has to be discussed with leaders of the constituency concerned for their opinion and how it should be conveyed to the local population considering the political dynamics.

“The Minister is not taking decisions appropriately and has been neglecting local leadership. This damages reputation of the party, and people lose their confidence on the government. This is clearly evident in case of demolition of buildings that failed to obtain permission from the government. Even Mayor and others were not aware of the step,” a senior leader said. He warned that they would stop the activity if the decision was not rolled back.

City Mayor also indicated lack of coordination in the party, and felt the need to sort out the issue by district leaders. Senior leaders criticised that the Minister, who was in discussion with officials in Vijayawada and taking decisions on important activity where role of people’ representatives and constituency in-charges was not involved.
