He also sanctioned funds under Minorities welfare when a caller from Kadapa by name Sampath asked for grant for church construction.
Anantapur: IT Information and Minorities Welfare Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy heartily responded to callers during the phone-in programme organised at the local Rural Water Supply (RWS) office here on Thursday.
He spoke kindly with the callers and responded to every plea. He organised help immediately when a person requested the Minister for financial assistance for payment of school fees to his ward.
He also sanctioned funds under Minorities welfare when a caller from Kadapa by name Sampath asked for grant for church construction.
A caller from a village brought his attention to non-payment of salaries for 450 staff working in Satya Sai Drinking Water Project, the Minister assured them of arranging for payment of salaries in two days. Several people asked for sanctioning of individual latrines.
He responded positively and lauded them for coming forward for construction of individual latrines. As many as 50 calls were received by the Minister. Joint Collector B Lakshmikantham and DRO Hemsagar and Assistant Director (Information) Thimmappa were present.
