Addressing the gathering after inaugurating new commercial complex constructed by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) at Seethammadhara and the Mee Seva centres, the Chief Minster said the government has been utilising the technology in a big way to provide all services to the people on-line. “

We are committed to provide transparent administration in the State,” he asserted.Mee Seva was an integrated service delivery mechanism designed to bring related government services together to the people of the State.

The Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department has initiated Mee Seva to deliver various government services like providing birth certificate, income certificate, caste certificate agriculture land details and so many other services. He said the government wanted to provide all services including development and welfare schemes on-line to avoid delay and eliminate middlemen.

At present there were 485 Mee Seva centres in the district and another 100 will be added now.Refuting allegations that the pulse survey was being conducted to remove some welfare schemes, he said the government has been conducting the survey to know details of the individuals and to render better services.

Regarding the new VUDA shopping complex, he asked VUDA officials to convert all the old VUDA buildings into commercial complexes to generate revenue in future.

Stating that the Visakhapatnam is a beautiful city flanked by hills and sea, Naidu said the government will take all steps to make the city and the district number one district in the country, as the city was identified by the central Government as one of the smart city.
