Kakinada: East Godavari BJP unit president Yenimireddy Malakondayya came down heavily on Opposition parties stating that these parties were facing an identity crisis and trying to make all sort of allegations on BJP and misleading the people of AP by calling for bandh on Tuesday.

He also found fault with the TDP for adopting double standards. The TDP leaders who are unable to face the opposition parties was targeting the BJP which did a lot for the development of AP by pumping a large amount of funds to the tune of about Rs 2 lakh cores for the development of the State. Speaking to press persons who met him on Monday, he said that the mess created by Congress during the State bifurcation is the result of the prevailing state of affairs.

Had the Congress acted in much responsible way and the opposition parties who are making all hue and cry now acted in a much responsible way, the present situation would not have arisen, the BJP leader felt.

Malakondayya reminded that it was because of Narenda Modi and Pawan Kalyan the TDP could come to power in AP. Instead of understanding the realities that led to the present situation in which technical aspects stood as stumbling block for the Special Status to AP, the TDP too joined in the bandwagon in criticising the BJP by forgetting the circumstances that led to its success in AP, he said.

He advised the TDP leaders to realise the facts and mend their ways. He reiterated that the agenda of the BJP is development of AP on all fronts and the party would stand by it because of injustice done during the State bifurcation in a hurried and most unethical manner. Party leader Dilip Kumar Sadanani and others were present.
